Acuren Wind Canada Inc. is seeking a professional, energetic and forward-thinking Health and Safety Coordinator to support projects throughout Canada!

 

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a comprehensive compensation package that includes health and dental benefits.

The HSE Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role conducts site inspections, assists with incident investigations, facilitates safety meetings and training, and promotes a strong safety culture across all operations. The HSE Coordinator maintains accurate documentation, tracks corrective actions, and collaborates with supervisors and employees to identify and mitigate risks. This position plays a key role in driving continuous improvement in workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and overall operational compliance.

Responsibilities

· Performing regular field safety audits and tracking results to support regional metrics

· Providing safety oversight and coaching during shutdowns and other site-based work programs

· Promoting and educating Company Safety Management System requirements and goals across the region

· Effectively coaching others to increase their safety knowledge and compliance

· Assisting the departmental Manager towards completion of prioritized health and safety action items

· Participating in the delivery of regional training initiatives

· Assisting with the implementation of control and monitoring measures related to safety performance

· Providing leadership in the investigation of all safety incidents and providing direction for the disposition of corrective actions

· Participating in the design and implementation of special programs to correct adverse safety performance trends

· Identifying critical safety awareness aspects for each work area and delivering training to employees

· Understanding and communicating relevant Canadian and provincial regulations, relevant standards and emerging case law and ensuring continued awareness and application in prevention programs

· Maintaining updated records via reporting systems for safety training, near-miss reports, and other related policies and procedures

· Ensuring the Manager has information required to produce reliable safety metrics on a monthly basis

· Review, revise and solicit input to the Safety Management System as required

· Other work duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Familiarity with, and ability to interpret, standards/regulations/legislation/caselaw

· Understanding of ISO Compliance Programs, and Safety Management Systems, policies and procedures;

· Experience in applying corrective action and root cause analysis methodologies

· Confidence in providing coaching and influencing the behavior of employees across the region

· Ability to work collaboratively with others to accomplish objectives

· Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills

· A commitment to enforce understanding and compliance with responsibilities under the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, and Company Safety Management Systems, policies and procedures

· Working experience in NDT and bilingual communication will be considered an asset

 

EDUCATION:

· NCSO, Post-secondary education diploma or degree program in OHS

· RSP certification or progress towards certification is an asset

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial or construction environment

· Experience working in Renewable Energy is an asset
