Acuren is currently recruiting for an API Visual Inspector to support our client, Cenovus in Lloydminster, SK. This is a long-term opportunity in a dynamic industrial environment, offering stability along with opportunities for individual growth and learning.
Engagement Type: Direct Employee or Subcontractor
Pay Rates:
Subcontractor – $95/hr
Direct Employee – $70/hr
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 12-hour shifts
Start Date: September 29
Location: Lloydminster, SK – local candidates only
API 510 & 570 certification required
Experience inspecting Pressure Relief Devices (PRDs) required
Observes work in progress to ensure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship
Inspects process piping, power piping, and structures from material verification through to final commissioning and installation
Applies applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptance or rejection as appropriate
Experienced in reviewing Work Scope Packages
Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, ASME Section VIII Div.1, Section IX, Section II, and CSA W47.1/W59.3 codes
Familiarity with NDT methods (RT, MT, PT, etc.) considered an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
