Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking highly motivated individuals with Phased Array (PAUT) certification and CGSB Level II UT and MT certifications for our Canadian Pipeline Integrity group to support projects in BC and the Prairie region. Technicians should have previous Pipeline Integrity experience.  Preference will be given to candidates with TOFD, FMC/TFM or laser scanning experience.

 

Project Details:

  • Schedule/Rotations will vary based on project

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct assessment of as-found pipe condition, including coating assessment, soils and topography, and cathodic protection
  • Assess pipe for cracks, corrosion, deformation and manufacturing anomalies
  • Correlate as-found pipe features to Inline Inspection (ILI) log
  • Conduct fit-for-service evaluations as per ASME B31.3 and RSTRENG/KAPA calculations
  • Complete
  • Conduct hazard assessments prior to beginning work and follow safe work procedures
  • Provide clients with quality services in a timely manner
  • Follow regulatory requirements; work to codes, procedures and techniques
  • Be responsible for the custody, care and correct use of valuable technical equipment, tools, machinery, publications, materials, job items, vehicles and other assets
  • Responsible for writing inspections reports as per client’s requirements

Requirements

  • Valid CGSB Level II Ultrasonic and Magnetic Particle Testing
  • Valid PAUT certification (CGSB, PCN or CWSIP)
  • Calibration and set up of NDE equipment
  • Understanding of Pipeline Integrity processes, techniques and procedures
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Flexibility to work out of town for short or long durations depending on nature of project
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Excellent time and project management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be computer proficient including experience with Microsoft Office products
