Position Details:

 

Acuren Wind CA is seeking experienced Bronto Operators to join our expanding team. This role involves traveling across Canada to assist field technicians with wind blade repairs and inspections.  

Responsibilities

 

  • Safely operate Bronto Skylift aerial work platforms for tasks at elevated heights, including inspections, maintenance, and installations.
  • Transport Bronto Skylift equipment to and from job sites using a commercial vehicle with a DZ license.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections of both the vehicle and aerial platform to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Set up and stabilize the Bronto Skylift on job sites following safety guidelines and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Assist wind technicians with blade inspections and repairs both on the ground and at elevated heights using the aerial platform.
  • Maintain accurate logs for equipment usage, driving hours, and safety checks.
  • Assist with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow all safety standards and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection measures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal transportation and worksite safety regulations.

Requirements

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience operating Bronto Aerial Lifts required.
  • Valid DZ driver’s license or equivalency with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with wind turbine operations, blade repair, or inspections is an asset.
  • Ability to travel across Canada for extended periods of time.
  • Physical and mental capability to ascend to considerable heights (100m/330ft) by vertical ladder, suspended platform, boom truck, lifts or utilizing rope access technology, multiple times per day, while carrying up to 15kgs/30lbs of additional weight.
  • Physical capability to bend, kneel, climb, and squat with full range of motion and for prolonged periods of time.
  • Comfortable with working in a confined space.

Working Conditions

  • Regular Full-Time Position
  • Rotation: 6 weeks on / 1 week off
  • Location: Canada (specific job sites vary across the country)
  • Start Date: ASAP!
  • Work may involve exposure to various weather conditions and physical tasks requiring the ability to lift, climb, and work at heights.
