Position Summary

Acuren is seeking a detail-oriented an Operations Coordinator to assist with organizing and supporting non-destructive testing operations in the Pacific Region.

  • Based out of our Richmond office
  • Immediate start dates
  • Position will be 40 hrs/week and possible overtime
  • Salary range up is $25.00 to $30.00/hr depending on qualifications and experience

Responsibilities

Scheduling and Coordination

  • Optimize NDT scheduling, dispatch technicians, and adjust plans for client needs or unforeseen issues.
  • Communicate assignments, expectations, and code requirements clearly.
  • Serve as the main client contact for scheduling and updates.
  • Relay project details efficiently and resolve conflicts quickly.

 

Resource Management

  • Track technician availability and certifications.
  • Oversee equipment readiness and manage inventory with warehouse staff.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records and generate activity reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

 

Logistics Management

  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, transportation, and inventory control.
  • Operational Support
  • Schedule training, provide technical guidance, and improve processes.

 

Technical Support

  • Assist with technical issues and stay updated on NDT advancements.

 

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce safety standards and resolve compliance issues.

 

Team Collaboration

  • Work with management to align on project goals and support technician training.
  • Participate in team meetings to address challenges and improve operations.
  • Customer Service
  • Maintain high client satisfaction through responsive communication and service.
  • Address client concerns and gather feedback to drive service improvements.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education is preferred, complemented by a minimum of 2 years’ industry-related experience 
  • Knowledge of NDT technical services and service lines provided in order to appropriately deploy resources  
  • An understanding of clients’ technical needs to effectively fulfill service requirements 
  • Knowledge of equipment needed to perform specific tests and inspections  
  • Knowledge of the applicable collective agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions 
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage a broad range of internal and external contacts 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel 
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and time management skills
