Position Summary

As the Division Manager, Pacific Engineering, Lab and Integrity, you will be responsible for managing the operations of engineering, lab, and integrity (ELI) business divisions within the Acuren Pacific Region.

 

The ELI Division Manager has a broad range of responsibilities including safety, quality, risk management, human resources, P&L budgets, capital allocation, service excellence and business development. The position ensures adequate resources are available to satisfy operational requirements, working closely with other regional operations leadership to share personnel, optimize collective resources and meet client needs.

 

The salary range for this position is between $140,000 - $170,000, annual bonus, RRSP program and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing, interpreting and managing the P&L statement on the monthly basis.
  • Managing direct and indirect labour to maximize utilization; Conducting scope of work reviews and generating/reviewing client quotations to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Ensuring all purchase orders match the quoted work scopes and are compliant with contractual terms.
  • Providing direction to ensure commercial terms drive achievement of the financial goals and objectives.
  • Developing and managing operational and capital budgets; Providing oversight to ensure the efficient use and operation of resources, including facilities, vehicles, and equipment. 
  • Modelling effective team work and communication skills to drive employee and customer engagement and ensure alignment of behaviours.
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate IMS and associated company objectives, and communicating same to staff.
  • Ensuring direct report management staff are delivering upon pre-determined objectives and understand strategic imperatives.
  • Ensuring the recruitment and development of high performing personnel to meet business growth.
  • Cultivating strong client relationships based on exceptional service delivery and ethical business practices; Actively managing relationships with the top ten clients in the region.
  • Overseeing the continuous improvement of services through the use of innovative technology and best practise.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10-years experience working as an engineer with 5 years in a leadership role.Experience with large industrial sites, particularly in BC, considered an asset.
  • Experience in consulting engineering operations, with an expertise in failure analysis and ability to attend major failure sites to assess damage and assign personnel.
  • Experience within court proceedings to support failure analysis work that results in litigation.
  • Proficiency in budgeting with a comprehensive understanding of P&L, job costing and EBITDA.
  • Thorough and current understanding of Acuren’s service lines and value proposition.
  • Technical expertise gained through several years of experience working within the settings noted above.
  • Thorough understanding of safety and quality programs.
  • Entrepreneurial flare with the ability to leverage experience to support a successful enterprise.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships, successfully anticipating and managing client expectations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills to support a collaborative team approach to delivering results.
  • Service and results-orientation, with the ability to build trust with a broad network of professional colleagues, subcontractors and team members.
  • Well-developed coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills to develop solutions that deliver integrated and long lasting results.
  • Consistently demonstrates understanding of, and compliance with, responsibilities under the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, and Acuren Safety and Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
