Position Summary

Acuren is seeking dynamic, skilled, and forward-thinking IRATA Level 3 Technicians with Trade Certification to join our team and support operations in the Central Region. This role is based out of our Thunder Bay, ON location and is ideal for candidates who are either local to the area or open to relocation.

Responsibilities

The IRATA Level 3 technician will carry out the following

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of Technicians assigned to the crew
  • Review and approve time sheets and Field Level Risk Assessments, addressing deficiencies and providing constructive feedback to technicians
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, training, and skills development to technicians under your supervision
  • Assist in investigating and documenting near misses, safety incidents, and non-conformances
  • Serve as the primary emergency contact 24/7 through cell phone availability
  • Perform necessary services in situations where no other personnel are available for the task

Requirements

  • IRATA Level 3 Certification
  • Journeyman ticket in either Welding or Electrcial
  • minimum 3 years of heavy rigging experience
  • 1st aid certification and all safety certifications as required within BC
  • located in Thunder Bay and/or area or willing to relocate.

Additionally, preference will be given to the candidates with the following

  • Proficiency/experience in trades/industrial settings
  • Background in mechanical operations
