Acuren Group Inc. is currently recruiting for an NDT Division Manager for our Pacific Region.  Reporting to the Regional General Manager, this position leads a team of Branch and Site Managers responsible for the delivery of Non-Destructive Testing, Visual Inspection, and Heat Treat Services as part of our Run & Maintain and Call Out programs.  The NDT Division Manager works closely with the Regional General Manager and Commercial team to grow NDT within the Pacific Region. This position is based out of our Richmond, BC office with periodic travel also required within the region.

As a member of the Senior Operations Leadership team the NDT Division Manager works closely with the Division Manager for Engineering, Lab & Integrity, and the Division Manager for Rope Access Industrial Services with a direct reporting line to the Pacific Regional General Manager.  This is a highly effective team with a track record of year-over-year growth and strong financial performance.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on manager with a proven record of applying their comprehensive industry knowledge and experience to lead team of NDT managers and supervisors in the delivery of high-quality NDT/Visual work.  They will have excellent communication and customer service skills and be adept at managing multiple customers across several industries.  As a part of our integrated operational structure between NDT, E&L, Rope Access, and Industrial Trades, the NDT Division Manager will have a solid understanding of P&L analysis combined with a ‘lead by doing’ approach.  The incumbent will bring excellent customer service and problem-solving skills; along with personal accountability and commitment to achieving the regions objectives.  If this describes you, we would love to hear from you.

  • Position is based in Richmond BC and supports operations throughout the province.
  • Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week but often required to be available after regular hours.
  • Salary Range $140K-$160K plus Performance Incentive
  • Non-Union position.

Responsibilities

Strategic and Tactical Leadership:

  • Communicating organizational values, objectives, and opportunities to support business success.
  • Integrating with other Pacific Division Managers to ensure continuity and delivery of overall Pacific Regional objectives.
  • Developing NDT specific goals and objectives that align with Regional and Corporate policies, programs and objectives.
  • Ensuring the recruitment and development of NDT/Visual personnel to meet operational needs.
  • Demonstrating Acuren’s core values and ‘leading by doing’.

Run & Maintain (R&M), Call Out, and Project Management

  • Leading and supporting a team of Branch and Site Managers providing NDT and Visual Inspection services.
  • Ensuring all operations comply with safety and quality requirements and regional performance objectives are being met.
  • Performing regular visits to sites and branches to engage with clients and field staff.
  • Communicating regularly with Branch/Site Managers to address questions/concerns, explore work opportunities and ensure client relationships are properly managed.
  • Holding regular client stewardship meetings with key accounts and developing/ensuring Key Performance Metrics
  • Coaching and mentoring of Branch/Site Managers.
  • Ensuring continual personnel recruitment and development to meet business needs.
  • Responding to urgent requests from clients and staff after regular hours.
  • Assisting Compliance Managers in the investigation and documentation of near misses, safety incidents, and non-conformances.

Division Financial Management:

  • Providing oversight of divisional financial performance and metrics for multi-million-dollar NDT Division.
  • Developing and management of operational and capital budgets.
  • Determining and setting competitive service contracts and rates
  • Managing Direct and Indirect Costs to sustain healthy financial performance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications  and experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years of NDT/Visual experience in an industrial environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing/supervising NDT and Visual personnel
  • Certifications in multiple NDT and Visual methods.
  • Experience in Call Out and/or R&M operations within O&G and P&P industries.
  • Experience in financial management of a multi-million-dollar operation.
  • A post-secondary degree in business or engineering is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license

  • Financially Responsible – must be able to effectively control operational costs while ensuring client satisfaction and financial performance.
  • Good Coach and Mentor – must have excellent people skills and be able to manage different personalities, coaching employees, listening to concerns, and responding to needs and requests.  Must have solid coaching and mentoring skills in the provision of technical guidance, direction, mentoring, training, and skills development to personnel.
  • Growth Driven – must possess a drive for responsible growth and betterment.  Must be open for new services and opportunities to expandNDTe NDT footprint in the region.
  • High Energy – must be capable of operating at a high pace to be responsive to the needs of customers, technicians, and management.
  • Highly Organized – must demonstrate consistent engagement in planning, scheduling, and adeptly managing fluctuations in workforce.
  • Servants Heart – must be responsive to Client’s needs on a continual basis with a focus on building strong relationships with local clients and grow existing operations.
  • Team Player – must be able to contribute to a highly functional operational team to support each others’ objectives and those of the region and company. Must have a collaborative approach to working within a team of Branch and Site Managers.
